100 DTL Saturday 28th April

A beautiful day greeted the 105 competitors at today’s final £1000 qualifier DTL selection shoot.  High Gun of the day was Kenny Jones on 100/297.  After shoot-offs class winners were: AA Scott Masson 99/296; A Graham Nairn 99/293; B Angus Cameron 98/288; C Ian Love 95/282.  These 5 went head-to-head for the final spot in the £1000 Grand Final, with Scott Masson emerging the winner.

The £1000 final shoot-off consisted of Richard Greenlaw, James Fairlie, Kevan Smith, John D Mackenzie and Scott Masson.  First to drop a point was Scott, followed a few targets later by a second.  James missed his 17th target and Kevan doubled his second last.  Richard and John then shot single barrel round with both men dropping two targets.  Going head-to-head sudden death, it took a further 15 targets before John missed and Richard claimed the prize.

In the Pool Trap qualifier, Neil Smith took today’s final spot.  After the single barrel shoot-off which led to a sudden death tie, Neil emerged winner over Richard Greenlaw who took second place, with Iain Hepburn third and Mark Campbell 4th.

The following were presented with trophies for categories for the Scottish DTL Grand Prix ex 200 targets: Junior Nial Wilson 182/535; Lady Cath Fraser 192/566; Senior Scott Masson 197/589; Veteran Kevan Smith 199/592; Super-veteran Gus MacDonald 195/577.

The Scottish DTL Grand Prix High Gun ex 200 was Kevan Smith 199/529 with the class winners being: AA Scott Masson 197/589; A Craig McIntosh 197/583; B Gus MacDonald 195/577; C Ian Love 190/562.
