Saturday 25th March – 100 OT results

There were cold and overcast conditions for today’s 100 OT.  High Gun was Ewen Patience with an 88.  Class winners were: A class Stuart Donaldson 74; B class Sharon Niven 84; C class Shona Marshall 77; D class Ian Macleod 72.  For all the scores please click on this link: OT results 2503

100 OT – squad draw

Please see the squad draw and start times for tomorrow’s 100 OT competition which will commence at 10.30am.  Please could the jury, Shona Marshall, Ewen Patience, John Breen, Sandy Dunbar and Ewen MacColl be on the ground for 9.50am to check the targets, schemes 6 and 9.  Please can Davy Alford, Izzy MacKintosh, John Morrison and Ewen Patience be on the ground by 10.30 to referee the first two squads.

Please note that there is no catering available tomorrow although there will be tea, coffee and snacks to purchase.

Equipment for Sale

Glenmoriston Estate has agreed to purchase the majority of equipment from Glenmoriston Shooting Ground.  However there are some additional items for sale, in working order, as follows:

1x Promatic Super Sporter Double 12v trap complete with 8 column carousel and radio release;

2x Laporte ABT 185 12v series complete with 12 column carousels;

1x Canterbury Voice Release system 240v complete with 5 microphones and stands;

Up to 5 BRB Voice Release systems 12v complete with 5 microphones and stands.

Anyone interested in any of the above items and for more information should, in the first instance, email treasurergsg@gmail.com stating which equipment they are interested in BY THE 31ST MARCH.  They will then be given details on how and when to submit sealed bids for each item.

Saturday 18th March  – 100 DTL Results

A few light showers did little to spoil the high quality of shooting at our final DTL competition.  High gun, after a closely contested shoot-off with Raymond Dingwall was Richard Greenlaw on 100/297.  Class winners were:  AA class Kenny Jones 100/296; A class Raymond Dingwall 100/297; B class Jim Presly 98/292; C class Ewen MacPhail 98/286.  All the results can be accessed here: 100 DTL 18-03-23

Saturday 18th March – 100 DTL Squads

Please see the squad list and start times below for tomorrow’s 100 DTL.  Please could the jury consisting of Davy Alford, Gordon Shankland, Andrew Young, Craig McIntosh and Angus Cameron be on the ground for 9.50am to check the targets.

Catering, provided by Jo Barr, will be available from 9.45am with hot and cold drinks, bacon rolls, soup, freshly prepared sandwiches and home baking on the menu.

Saturday 25th March – 100 OT

Entries can now be made for the 100 OT competition being held on Saturday 25th March via our online form which can be found on the ‘Entry Form’ page of this website. Entries close at 4pm on Friday 24th when the draw will be made.

Saturday 18th March – 100 DTL

Entries are now being accepted for the 100 DTL registered competition being held on Saturday 18th March – please use the online form which can be found on the ‘Entry Forms’ page of this website.  If entering a full or part squad please ensure that an entry form is completed for each competitor.  Entries close at 4pm on Friday 17th.

Catering will be provided on the day by a local chef with hot and cold drinks, bacon rolls, soup, sandwiches and homebaking at reasonable prices available from 9.45am on a cash only basis.

*** AGM REMINDER ***

A reminder that the club’s 2023 AGM will be held tomorrow, Tuesday 29th February, 7pm at Fairways Leisure, Inverness.  All current members are invited to attend.

DTL Winter Series Results

Cold, dry and windless conditions provided nice shooting conditions for today’s 40 competitors for the last 50 DTL competition at the club.  Taking part was Peter Mackay who competed at the first 50 DTL competition held on the ground 46 years ago.  High Gun today was Don Mackay with a 50/148.  Class winners were: AA class Peter Mackay 49/146; A class Gordon Shankland 50/146; B class (after shoot-off) Kevin Mackay 48/141; C class (after shoot-off) Grant MacDougall.

Winner of the Robert Kling Trophy for the winter series was Stacy Gennard with 443 points, AA class winner was Scott Masson 432 points, A class winner was Kenny Jones with 437 points, B class winner was John Jackson with 423 points and C class winner was David Marello with 407 points.

Saturday 18th February – 50 DTL

Please see the squads below for tomorrow’s 50 DTL, the fifth and final competition in this year’s winter series for the Robert Kling Trophy.  Shooting will start at 10.30am, using 2 layouts.  Tea, coffee, soup, hot dogs, sausage rolls and snacks will be available.
