Entries are now being accepted for the 100 DTL competition being held on Saturday 20th August. High Gun will win the Bill McBain trophy. The Inter Area Challenge Trophy will also be competed for – please see the poster for details – squad entries will be noted on the morning of competition. This shoot also counts as one of the competitions for the cumulative score with Armadale CTC.

A cool and blustery wind today led to tougher shooting conditions than yesterday. Retaining his overnight lead to take the Open and Senior Championship was John MacDonald with a 178. After an exciting shoot-off between Donald Walker and Donald MacInnes, the runner-up was Donald Walker on 171. Lady Champion was Shona Marshall on 158, Veteran Champion was Donald MacInnes on 171, Super Veteran Champion was Ewen MacColl on 162, Non-International Champion was Calum Corse 159.
Class winners were: A class Ewen Johnson 169; B class Donald MacInnes 171; C class Donald Walker 171; D class Francis Wallis 170.
In near perfect conditions 31 shooters took part in the first day of the Scottish ABT Championship. The overnight leader is John MacDonald on 94, closely followed by Donald Walker on 90. Competition resumes at 10.30am with squad 4 on first, Brian McMeechan, Eric Eric and Ian MacLeod to referee. The jury will recheck the targets at 10am.
Please see below for the squad draw for this weekend’s Scottish ABT Championship. Should anyone listed NOT be attending please let me know ASAP so that the draw can be amended to 5 squads. Start time will be 10am with Cameron Hay, Davy Alford and Allan Pinkerton to referee the first squad. The Jury of Shona Marshall, Ewen Johnson, Ruairidh MacDonald, Donald Walker and Tom Galashan should be on the ground ready to check the targets at 9.30am.
Catering will be available on both Friday and Saturday.
