14th August 2021 – 100 DTL

Entries are now being accepted for the 100 DTL selection shoot on 14th August, the entry form can be found on the ‘Entry Forms’ page.  Entries close at noon on Friday 13th.

Run concurrently will be the Inter Area Challenge Cup – see the attached poster for details.  Teams should be intimated on arrival at the ground prior to shooting commencing.  Please note that the 5 members of the team do not have to be shooting together on the same squad.  Winners in 2019 were the North2 squad of M Robertson, K Smith, C Rennie, C Ormiston and D Mackay so please arrange to return the trophy in time for the competition.

100 ABT – results

In dry brightening conditions 12 competitors took part in today’s 100 ABT.  High Gun was Scott Morgan on 88.  Class winners were: A class Cameron Hay 87; B class Ian Robb 87; C class Ian Paterson 81; D class Francis Wallis 84.

Saturday 31st July – ABT squad list

Please see below for tomorrow’s squad draw.  Shooting will start at 10.30am and the jury of Ian Robb, Ian Paterson, Douglas Henderson, Cameron Hay and Jane Paterson should be on the ground at 10am to check the targets.

There will be no caterer tomorrow so please bring your own lunch.  Free tea and coffee will be available as well as an honesty box for snacks.  Seating is now available inside the clubhouse.

Please familiarise yourself with the updated ground guidance and shoot rules prior to arrival at the ground.

Thursday 5th August

The ground will be open for ABT, DTL and OT practice from 2.30pm until 5.30pm.  If you wish to attend, please complete the form which is now available on the ‘Entry Forms’ page.  A reminder that entries for the Scottish ABT Championship will be accepted until 4pm that day when the draw will be made – that entry form is also available on the ‘Entry Form’ page.

DTL Referees/scorers wanted

We are looking to employ DTL referees and scorers for the forthcoming Scottish DTL Championship being held on Friday 27th and Saturday 28th August.  If you would be able to help either or both days, please fb message or email treasurergsg@gmail.com for details.

100 OT – Results

It wasn’t only the weather that was glorious today as John MacDonald romped home with a 50 straight to win today’s 100 OT with a  95.  Class winners were:  B class Willie Lamont 75; C class Shona Marshall 88; D class John Breen 78.

Please see below for tomorrow’s squad draw with a 10.30am start.  The jury of Shona Marshall, John Morrison, Ewen MacColl, John MacDonald and Ian Dawson should be on the ground to inspect the targets at 10am.  Pegs 1, 2 and 3 will be required to referee the first squad.

Please note that there will only be tea, coffee and snacks available so remember to bring your lunch!  The clubhouse will be open from tomorrow to sit in, a maximum of 8 from 4 households per table please – masks must be worn indoors except when seated at a table.

Scottish ABT GP – Final Results

In testing blustery conditions very few of the 20 competitors managed to improve on their scores of yesterday.  Cameron Hay was one of them, adding a 90 to his score of 89 yesterday to win the Scottish ABT Grand Prix Trophy on 179.

Scottish ABT GP – Day 1 Results

In brightening but more blustery conditions 20 competitors are taking part in this year’s Scottish ABT Grand Prix.  Leading at the half way stage is Cameron Hay on 89 with Donald Walker and Shona Marshall not far behind on 86.  All the scores can be found by clicking on the link: Scottish ABT GP – Day 1

Shooting recommences tomorrow with squad 3 at 9.30am.  Jury should report at 9.15 to check the targets and John Morrison, Richard Smith and Graham MacDonald to referee the first squad.
