Scottish ABT Championship 2021

Entries are now being accepted for this year’s ABT Scottish Championship being held on Friday 6th and Saturday 7th August (200 targets).  Please use the online entry form (and not the paper form in the SCTA bulletin) which can be found on the ‘Entry Forms’ page of the website.  Entries will not be confirmed until payment is received.  Please ensure you use the required reference if making a BACS payment – ie association number followed by ABT eg 9876ABT.  Thank you.

Entries close at 4pm on Thursday 5th August when the squad draw will be made.

Scottish ABT Grand Prix 200 targets – 16th/17th July

Entries are now being taken for this year’s Scottish ABT Grand Prix being held on Friday 16th and Saturday 17th July.  Entries to shoot the Saturday only will be accepted on a birds-only basis.  Entries close at 4pm on Thursday 15th when the draw will be made.  The ground will be open for ABT, DTL and OT practice that afternoon from 2.30pm to 5.30pm.

100 OT Results

In perfect conditions 21 competitors took part in today’s 100 OT.  In a closely fought contest High Gun was John MacDonald on 89.  Runner-up and C Class winner was John Falconer on 88.  Other winners were B class Scott Morgan on 86 and tied for D class were John Breen and Richard Smith on 81.

100 OT 3rd July – Squad Draw

Please see the squad draw below.  The jury of Shona Marshall, Ewen MacColl, John Leitch, Dug Wilton and Richard Smith should be on the ground ready to check the targets at 10.30am.  Squads 1 and 2 will start at 11am with the first three shooters on squads 3 and 4 to referee/score.  A break for lunch will be held after 50 targets.

100 DTL – 10th July 2021

Entries are now being taken for our 100 DTL registered competition being held on Saturday 10th July.  The entry form can be found on the ‘Entry Forms’ page of the website.  Entries close at noon on Friday 9th July.

Scottish DTL Championship 2021

Glenmoriston Shooting Ground is delighted to announce that this year’s Scottish DTL Championship will be sponsored by Alan Rhone Ltd – his support is very much appreciated.

100 OT – Saturday 3rd July

Entries are now being taken for the 100 OT selection shoot on Saturday 3rd July.  The form can be found on the ‘Entry Forms’ page of the website.  Entries close at 4pm on Friday 2nd July when the draw will be made and squads posted thereafter.

Results 100 DTL – 19th June 2021

In lovely shooting conditions it was good to see more red on the scoreboard for the 60 competitors at today’s 100 DTL.  High Gun was Craig McIntosh on 100/297, closely followed by AA class winner Stacey Gennard on 100/296.  Other class winners were: A Mark White 98/293; B Darren Murray 98/291; C Kenny McGillivray 97/281.  High Gun over the two days was Scott Masson with 586, AA Class Stacey Gennard 585, A Class Andrew Young 577, B Class Darren Murray 571 and C Class Kenny McGillivray 549.

Thanks to all who attended and helped keep the shoot running on time, and to the ground staff for keeping the traps loaded.  The next 100 DTL competition will be on Saturday 10th July.

100 DTL Results
